Scholastic Book Fair at George Hall

The book fair ignites the love of literacy and raises much needed funds for GHPTA!

BEFORE & AFTER

The Book Fair is coming November 16-20, 2026! We will need many parent volunteers to help set up the LGI the week before (Thurs & Fri, Nov 12-13) and breakdown and box everything up after lunch (Friday Nov 20). Block those dates if you think you'll be able to help! Keep in mind the holidays we have off school (Veterans' Day Nov 11, Thanksgiving week Nov 23-27) and the Mugglebee's Moana Jr. performance (Mon Nov 16) and Multicultural Night Social (Wed Nov 18). It's a busy time on the George Hall calendar!

DURING THE FAIR

During school hours, teachers will sign up for one short Class Visit timeslot. Parents: your teacher will tell you when your Class Visit timeslot is, and you may volunteer to assist your class at the fair: kids write wish lists, browse and ask great questions, and learn to manage money! Some teachers allow students to buy during the Class Visit. Your teacher will let you know.

After school hours, the Book Fair will be open to ALL for shopping - select times on select days. Stay tuned for this shopping calendar. We will need parent volunteers for crowd control and cashier management. (Trust me parents, IT'S EASY! We have trained 2nd graders on the Cashier system. You can do it!)

Scholastic makes online Book Fair shopping easy and rewarding - If you shop online during our weeks using our unique link, they share a percentage of the profits directly with our school! Stay turned for those dates (usually a little before and a little after our in-person fair) and that unique link!

IN PERSON

The Book Fair will be located in the LGI. It's a busy area of campus even after hours -- right next to the indoor and outdoor areas utilized by our after school Annex program and new enrichment programs. We will do our best to get the Book Fair staffed Monday through Thursday after school for in person shopping, but this will depend on the availability of parent volunteers. Block time and let us know when you can help!
